    Fair Housing Class Video

Do you need to update yourself or your employees on what fair housing is, but do not have the time to go to a class or attend a webinar? If so, this is the video for you!

There are many federal, state, and local laws that outline the parameters landlords must follow to treat all applicants and tenants fairly when providing housing. The costs of failing to follow these parameters can be huge.

This course will review the historical perspectives that have shaped these laws, what laws must be followed, and the procedures and policies that need to be followed.

All videos will be sent to the purchaser on Mondays at 12pm and will be good to view through Friday of the same week. The video can be viewed multiple times by the purchaser throughout the 5-day period. This video is derived from a live webinar class.

Join the ROA-SWO as Violet Wilson tells us horror stories and other landlord dilemmas, along with how to navigate through even the scariest situation.

    Marijuana & Landlords

Confused about what a landlord's rights are under a Federal Drug Law that makes all marijuana illegal and yet State Laws allows "legal" medical and recreational use?

This presentation will review the status of both federal and states' laws that affect this issue, the parameters that an Oregon Landlord has under these laws, and actions landlords may take.  In addition, ORHA forms pertaining to marijuana will be reviewed.

    ROA-SWO Presents:

Join the ROA-SWO as Christian Bryant guides us through two informative classes on:

    Preparing A Rental Unit

In this 1-hour class we will cover the basics of habitability standards & laws. Helpful tips and best practices to make your rental unit stand out above the rest of the competitive market. How to minimize how long your unit stays vacant.

    Marketing and Market Rent

Most landlords don’t realize how volatile market rents actually are these days. What the identical unit down the street rented for last month has NO bearing on what your unit will rent for today. In this 1-hour class we will teach you how to do a quick, easy, and accurate market rent analysis.
